Only in the twisted world of academia (a.k.a. academentia) would the following message to a professor (Anita Hill) be deemed a threat:

Good morning, Anita Hill, it's Ginny Thomas. I just wanted to reach across the airwaves and the years and ask you to consider something. I would love you to consider an apology sometime and some full explanation of why you did what you did with my husband. So give it some thought and certainly pray about this and come to understand why you did what you did. Okay have a good day.

The message was by Virginia Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Isn't it obvious what the university is doing? It is trying to embarrass Justice Thomas, who is anathema to progressives, by suggesting that his wife is threatening Anita Hill. Would the university do this if the message had been sent by the spouse of a progressive Supreme Court justice, say, Ruth Bader Ginsburg? (That's a rhetorical question.)
