I watched three networks yesterday evening: Fox, CNN, and MSNBC. Fox and CNN played it down the middle, covering the election results impartially. MSNBC was a joke. The people on the panel acted like petulant teenagers. Instead of reporting the news, or even analyzing it, they sneered, made sarcastic comments, and in general acted smug and dogmatic. It made me wonder about the audience for this tripe. Do they even want impartial reportage? Do they tune in simply to see their own views and values articulated? Please don't say that Fox is as far on the right as MSNBC is on the left. It's not even close. If zero is extreme progressivism and 100 is extreme conservatism, Fox is 55, CNN 40, and MSNBC 10.
