I've heard it said (repeatedly) that conservatives voted for Bristol Palin for political reasons (i.e., for reasons having nothing to do with her dancing ability). Why is it never said that progressives voted against her for political reasons? Why would only one side be politically motivated, especially given the well-known fact that Sarah Palin (Bristol's mother) is despised by progressives? If I had to guess, I'd say that for every person who voted for Bristol Palin for political reasons, two voted against her for political reasons.
