The New York Times calls WikiLeaks an "anti-secrecy group." Is that not absurd? Suppose Julian Assange gained access to, and began to publish, internal New York Times documents or telephone logs, or, better yet, the private notes and telephone logs of the publisher, Arthur Sulzberger. Would the Times still call WikiLeaks an "anti-secrecy group"? Presumably not. It would be a violator of the solemn right to privacy! It would be a threat to journalism! It would be an anarchistic organization, with no redeeming value! The Times is too stupid to realize that Assange is using it as a mere means to his ends.
