My most recent bike ride was on 20 November, at the Denton Turkey Roll bike rally. I noticed the other day that I was just shy of 2,000 miles for the year, so today I went out in the neighborhood to put in the requisite miles. The weather was mild (68º Fahrenheit) and the streets dry. I rode 16.68 miles at an average speed of 16.60 miles per hour. The miles gave me 2,000.2 for 2010. A year ago, I rode 2,161.7 miles. All told, I have ridden 67,335.1 miles, which is the equivalent of 2.7 times around the Earth at the equator.
