My friend Jeff sent a link to Dennis Prager's latest column. Prager hits the nail on the head. Progressives can't argue with conservatives, since they have long since lost (through atrophy) any argumentative skills they may have had, so they defame them. I know whereof I speak. When I was a progressive, I had many academic friends and allies. The moment I announced my conversion to conservatism, I was viciously attacked (smeared, defamed) by academic progressives, who cannot tolerate diversity in their midst. One particularly thuggish law professor continues to attack me, years later. Does he not realize that his smears say more about him than about me?
