1-21-91 . . . Iraq has captured several American soldiers and is holding them as prisoners of war (POWs). They’re being paraded on CNN hour after hour. Some are obviously being made to mouth Iraq sentiments. I wonder what effect this will have on American morale and American support for the war. On the one hand, it could strengthen American resolve by making people want to get back at the “evil Iraqis”; on the other hand, it could make people rethink the role of the United States in this war.
