If you support the black family, then you should oppose the welfare state.
Addendum: The reason progressives hate black conservatives (or libertarians) such as Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, and Walter Williams is that they can't accuse them of racism. If a white person said what Williams said about the black family, for example, he or she could be delegitimated by being called a racist. This shows the poverty of progressivism: It is about personal destruction rather than rational criticism.
