Lack of self-control (or lack of sufficient self-control, for nobody lacks self-control altogether) leads to the following: health problems (such as sexually transmitted diseases, gum disease, high cholesterol, hypertension, and obesity), drug dependency (including alcoholism), poverty, having children out of wedlock, and criminality. Are these not the main social problems with which we are confronted, and are they not cumulative?
What is the relation between self-control and being raised in a family with a mother and a father? I predict a direct correlation. Those who have been insisting that the traditional nuclear family is outmoded or oppressive, and therefore to be abolished, are responsible for the dire state of society. This class includes, prominently, feminists. In pursuit of a false "equality," they jeopardized generations of children. Can you imagine anything more selfish?
