2-3-91 . . . Odds and ends: (1) First-class postage stamps are now twenty-nine cents apiece, an increase of four cents. Many people are complaining, and some are incensed, but postage stamps are still the best bargain in the civilized world. I would gladly pay a dollar a stamp to send a letter. I’m not kidding. [First-class postage is now 44¢. An increase to 45¢ is expected this year.]
