Mr. Burgess-Jackson-

I linked to your excellent "take-down" of Elizabeth Drew through another site I visit regularly called "Dissecting Leftism."  Fantastic post.  As a "former Michigander" and now transplanted Texan, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that you have extensive roots in Michigan, and Wayne State in particular.  I grew up in Detroit and moved to Houston, Texas, in 1989, where I eventually joined the Houston Police Department and subsequently attended law school.  I am now a 20-year veteran Lieutenant, as well as a practicing attorney, and read voraciously on everything from economics to political philosophy and Constitutional issues, among many other things.

It's sort of funny, and I am sure there are many, many people exactly like me, but I was never "in tune" with politics, or active in any way, and preferred to just live my life and raise my two sons along with my wife of 17 years, but Barack Obama has inspired me and many others like me to finally see and hear what is really out there in regards to how leftward and demoralized this nation has become over the last several decades.  Writing like yours also inspires me and informs me.  Keep up the excellent work, and I am glad I found your site and will be a regular reader from now on.

Sincerely,
