I just ran 3.1 miles at a mile pace of 7:29.20. (The temperature was 58.5º Fahrenheit, in glorious sunshine.) My personal record for this course, set 12 years ago, is 6:33.80. So I've lost 55.4 seconds per mile in 12 years. (I was 41 then; I'm 53 now.) I think that if I trained properly, I could do the course in 6:45. Yesterday, I ran 4.3 miles at a mile pace of 7:29.64. Tomorrow I do a long (53-mile) bike ride. Are you staying fit? Remember: Your body is your earthly vehicle. Without it, you are nothing.
