To the Editor:
Your March 3 editorial “Even Hurtful Speech” applauds the Supreme Court’s ruling that the vile, hurtful expression of the Westboro demonstrators is entitled to First Amendment protection.
But based on your frequent criticism of the Citizens United decision in your editorials, you apparently believe that political speech of corporations regarding political campaigns is not. Go figure.

Note from KBJ: Trying to impose a standard of consistency on the editorial board of the New York Times is like trying to hold onto an eel. The only principle the board endorses is this: "Support all and only progressive causes."
