I spent five wonderful years (1983-1988) in Tucson, Arizona, which is the seat of Pima County. Tucson, like other college towns, is filled with progressives. They suck at the teat of government and therefore support big government. Most Arizonans, however, are conservative or libertarian, so the progressives of Pima County want to secede. I think they should be allowed to do so. Pull the plug on state funding for the University of Arizona. Make the progressives get real jobs.
