You may recall that Katherine and I attended three playoff games in 2010: a Division Series game against the Tampa Bay Rays, a League Championship Series game against the New York Yankees, and a World Series game against the San Francisco Giants. I regret to say that the Texas Rangers lost all three games. I was beginning to think that we were jinxing our team!
Things are different this year. Katherine and I have a 20-game ticket package, and the Rangers have won both games we've attended. Yesterday evening, in clear, cool weather, we and 30,951 other fans watched the Rangers nip the Seattle Mariners, 3-2. The game was crisply played. We were through six innings in no time, and the game itself lasted only 2:36. Would that all games were this short!
We like some of the food items at the ballpark, but most of the fare is fattening and ridiculously expensive. On the way to the ballpark, we stopped at Subway for footlong sandwiches. We ate them on a table in the picnic area on the third deck. Here is the view from our table (click to enlarge):

The Rangers are 5-0 this season. Life is good.
