Evidence accumulates that Josh Hamilton is a classless jerk. Several points. First, players don't make decisions whether to try to score from third; coaches do. Players should do as they're told and not mouth off. Second, third-base coach Dave Anderson did not tell Hamilton to slide head first. That was Hamilton's bad decision. Third, it's Hamilton who's injury prone, not Anderson. Most players would not have been injured on that play. Fourth, even if it's all Anderson's fault, a classy player does not criticize his coach publicly.
If I'm Jon Daniels, I'm trading Hamilton to the New York Yankees for pitching prospects, as soon as the jerk heals. Let the Yankees deal with his injuries, his excuses, and his weak character (the man needs a full-time chaperone to prevent him from drinking alcohol).
