A UCLA law professor writes:
As a professor, I’d feel safer if guns were not permitted on campus. I worry more about being the target of a student upset about failing grades than about a mass killer roaming the hallways.
If a student is determined to shoot this man, will the student be deterred by a law that prohibits carrying a gun on campus? The very idea is risible. This, folks, is why legal academia is a joke. It is a progressive echo chamber. As John Stuart Mill pointed out long ago, when ideas are not challenged, those who hold them lose their critical ability.
