I have never thought of Barack Obama as particularly smart. Being thought to be smart isn't the same as being smart. Obama was an only child and has been spoiled and pampered his entire life—by parents, grandparents, teachers, professors, and employers. By being half black in a world suffused with white guilt, he got special treatment. Many whites are afraid to criticize blacks or hold them responsible for their actions. This is the worst form of bigotry. If I were black, I would insist on being held to the same standards as white people.
