I leave you this fine evening with a column by Michael Barone. I don't understand how someone who was trained as a journalist could abandon journalistic standards in order to promote a preferred political candidate or platform. Have these people no self-respect? I'm a college professor. I teach hot-button courses: Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, Biomedical Ethics, Philosophy of Law, and Social and Political Philosophy. My job is to educate, not indoctrinate. How could I have any self-respect if, in order to promote my own political agenda, I sought to indoctrinate my students? I would be violating the norms of my profession. I think this is one of many examples of how, for progressives, the end justifies the means. Not even journalistic integrity stands in the way of "progress."
