Here is Jim Bowden's realignment plan. Does it make sense to play 162 games in order to reduce the number of teams from 30 to 12? I liked it in the old days, when there were two leagues of 10 teams each, and the winners of each league went to the World Series. No divisions; no playoffs; no wild cards.
