Thirty years ago today, I bought Ozzy Osbourne's album Blizzard of Ozz (1981) on eight-track tape. Randy Rhoads hit me like a hurricane. Only one other guitarist—Eddie Van Halen—has had that effect on me. Here is the first song on the album, "I Don't Know." Here is Rhoads playing "Crazy Train." Rhoads died in an airplane crash in 1982, at the age of 25. Part of me died with him.
