I loved the last sentence of the article on the possibility of a bid for the presidency by Texas Gov. Rick Perry ("Election 2012: New Whispers of Perry Bid," U.S. News, June 9): "Should he run, Mr. Perry would have to overcome his oft-expressed distaste for the nation's capital."
Frankly, this is exactly why he should run. He represents an increasingly common dissatisfaction with what goes on in Washington.
