Scott Adams discusses the "slow-motion assassination" of President Trump. There is no question in my mind that Trump will survive the assassination attempt. He is a fighter. It's why so many of us voted for him. We are sick to death of mealy-mouthed, wishy-washy, Milquetoast Republicans such as George W. Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney. The mainstream media will continue their attempts to destroy Trump, but they will fail. Trump has the people with him; that's all he needs.

I've been a lawyer since January 1984. I wrote a doctoral dissertation on constitutional interpretation. I've been teaching Philosophy of Law for nearly three decades. The idea that Donald Trump's statements during the 2016 presidential campaign are relevant to the constitutionality of his recent executive order on immigration is preposterous. See here. The Supreme Court of the United States will almost certainly reverse the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.Addendum: Remember when Chief Justice John Roberts interpreted ObamaCare's mandate as a tax, so that the legislation would pass constitutional muster? There was plenty of evidence that Barack Obama and others in his administration considered the mandate a mandate and not a tax. Justice Roberts didn't impute a bad motive to Obama and strike down his legislation; he imputed a good motive and upheld it. This is what judges, as judges, do: ask whether there is any construction of the legislation in which it comports with the Constitution. If there is, then the legislation is upheld. Leftist judges are turning this judicial rule on its head by imputing the worst motives to President Trump. It's disgraceful. These "judges" are partisan hacks masquerading as judges. Once President Trump gets one or more additional Supreme Court appointments, this partisanship will cease. The Supreme Court will lay down the law to the lawless judges on inferior courts.

Thomas Paine famously said, “These are the times that try men’s souls.” Although this was written more than 200 years ago, it is truer today than at any other recent time with the events surrounding the president.
Issues surrounding the potential of the president obstructing justice by dismissing the FBI director, as well as the possibility that he may have compromised intelligence sources so he could boast about getting great intelligence, should be a concern to all citizens regardless of party.
It is time for patriots, not partisans, to exercise their constitutional duty to defend and protect the constitutional principle that no person is above the law. I am heartened to see the appointment of a special counsel to investigate these issues. I hope U.S. Sens. Pat Roberts and Jerry Moran, both honorable public servants, will support this investigation. If they do not, the erosion of public trust in the presidency will continue.
This is not a Republican or Democrat issue. It’s an issue that affects the very fabric of our republic. Not addressing this crisis is nothing short of dereliction of duty by our senators. So, I ask, where are the patriots?

Note from KBJ: You're right, Barry, that "no person is above the law." Where were you when Hillary Clinton was breaking every law in the book with impunity?
