  • With all the noise concerning Russian collusion with some of Donald Trump’s campaign and current staff members, facts have been hard to come by.

The last big scandal occurred in 1973 following a break-in at the DNC headquarters at the Watergate office complex. President Nixon fired independent special prosecutor Archibald Cox. That led to the resignations of Attorney General Elliot Richardson and Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus. What brought Nixon to justice was secret information provided to two Washington Post reporters. Not wanting to reveal their source, the reporters introduced the term Deep Throat to the public.

We need another Deep Throat today.

    LOUIS COHEN, SURFSIDE

Note from KBJ: Get a grip, Louis. We finally have an honest, competent, patriotic president, and you can't accept it. How many letters have you written about Hillary Clinton's criminality and corruption? I'm guessing none.

  • The firing of FBI Director James Comey raises three serious questions:

    1) Do the American people live under a rule of law or the fiat of a dictator?

    2) Is the president of the United States a criminal?

    3) Do the Republicans who rule the U.S. Senate love America sufficiently to give the American people a completely independent investigation of President Donald Trump, with subpoena power to compel testimony and if necessary to issue a criminal indictment?

Note from KBJ: I love it that Donald Trump drives the likes of David A. Lee crazy. Get some help for your ailment, David, and while you're at it, read up on civics, because your ignorance of government is showing. Then again, don't get help. We Trump supporters love being entertained.
