My beloved Arizona Wildcats (23-3) are back to fifth in the ranking. A #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament would be nice.

Here is Cal Thomas's latest column. How rich is it that the mainstream media have discovered "facts"? They don't give a damn about facts. All they care about is advancing the progressive agenda. If that means not covering Hillary Clinton's corruption and incompetence (think Benghazi), so be it. If that means belittling good men such as Mitt Romney, so be it. If that means not investigating Barack Obama's terrorist ties (Bill Ayres, &c), so be it. If that means smearing Donald Trump, so be it. Journalists are at the bottom of the hierarchy as far as trusted individuals are concerned, and the irony is that they have brought it on themselves by taking sides. Will it ever change? I doubt it. The urge to be a participant is far stronger than the urge to be a disinterested observer and reporter.Addendum: CNN is among the worst, in terms of dishonesty and partisanship. Night after night, for hours on end, the network mocks, smears, gossips, and lies about President Trump. In doing this, CNN is playing with fire, because Trump has an uncanny ability to destroy people by labeling them. Remember "Low-Energy Jeb," "Little Marco," "Lyin' Ted," and "Crooked Hillary"? He defeated all of them. He now calls CNN and the New York Times "Fake News" (which of course they are). This will destroy the brands of these corporate entities. (I hesitate to call them journalistic organizations.)

The last time I checked, Nordstrom is a privately-owned company. Therefore, they can do what they want and drop anyone’s product line if they feel the desire and need to do so.
Is Ivanka Trump taking a hit from this particular company because of her father? Probably so, but that is something that can happen when your father is the president of the United States of America and has such divisive views as he does.
It is the nature of the beast, and I am positive that she won’t be hurting financially because Nordstrom has dropped her line from their stores.
Jeff Swanson, Everett
Note from KBJ: This is a classic example of the straw-person fallacy. Who has argued that Nordstrom may not drop Ivanka Trump's product line? Of course it may, and nobody with any sense has said otherwise. But just as Nordstrom may drop her product line, the rest of us may choose no longer to shop at Nordstrom. We may also criticize Nordstrom, try to get our families and friends not to shop there, and hope that the company pays a steep price (in lost profits) for its petulance.
