It should be no surprise that the U.S. problem with COVID-19 is getting worse compared to other countries.

It’s to be expected. And the American people are to blame.

The same mentality that drove Donald Trump’s election in 2016 is the same idiocy and poor judgment reflected in the failure to contain COVID-19 in this country. The people did the wrong thing once; why not twice?

It’s reflecting badly on this country as the world asks, “Why this is happening in the U.S.?”

If the U.S. can elect Trump as president, how can you expect that it can handle a pandemic?

I’ve never written a piece for the opinion page, though I read it every morning. However after reading the article by D. Pureheart Steinbruner, I couldn’t refrain from responding. I am 72 years old and have been voting since I could. This is the most important presidential election in my lifetime.

This is not the time to be talking about the Green Party, Libertarian, Peace and Freedom.

It appears he is saying Kamala Harris has been chosen as VP pick because she is woman and Black. Well, Harris is smart, she is tough, she cares and she reflects our population. That is why Biden picked her. Let’s not forget the third party impact in the 2000 election that gave us George W. Bush. This is too serious. In my not so humble opinion, if you don’t vote or you vote for anyone but Biden, you’re voting for Trump!
