  • Watching Donald Trump try to lead the country in this crisis is beyond painful, so I am grateful that Gov. J.B. Pritzker has been briefing us every day. He is clear and concise and has brought comfort and leadership during this difficult time.

    Thank you, Governor.

Note from KBJ: President Trump is a great leader, Sharon. We're going to elect him again!

  • Our people want to return to work. They will practice Social Distancing and all else, and Seniors will be watched over protectively & lovingly. We can do two things together. THE CURE CANNOT BE WORSE (by far) THAN THE PROBLEM! Congress MUST ACT NOW. We will come back strong!

  • To the editor:

Trump’s refusal to stop calling the coronavirus a “Chinese virus” is just another reason he needs to go.

The final paragraph of your editorial sums it up. His “America first” policy doesn’t work in a world where we need to cooperate to solve problems.

Every day since he was elected, I have woken up with a headache and fever. I hope the president’s supporters socially distance themselves from the “Trump virus” that afflicts us all.

    Tony Wood, Claremont

Note from KBJ: Every day since Donald Trump was elected, I have "woken up" (i.e., awakened) with a smile when I realized that Hillary Clinton is not president.

  • The New York Times changed headlines 3 times in order to satisfy the Radical Left. What should have been a good story got “worse & worse”, until the headline alone made it very unfair. Fake & Corrupt News that is very dangerous for our Country!

  • Rage (1972)Yesterday evening, Katherine and I watched Rage (1972), which I now own on DVD. I watched this movie several decades ago (probably shortly after it was released), and have always wanted to watch it again. Recently, I located it on DVD. I thought the digitization might be poor, but the movie is quite clear. There are, however, no captions.

The movie stars Academy Award-winning actor George C. Scott as Wyoming sheep rancher Dan Logan, whose son is killed by a chemical accidentally released by the military. Logan himself was exposed to the chemical and is slowly dying. He escapes from the hospital and wreaks vengeance on those he believes to be responsible for his son's death.

I wish I could report that Logan limits his vengeance to those who are actually responsible, but I cannot. Scott's character would have been more likable if he had used better judgment with regard to his targets. Anyway, it's an interesting movie. It reflects people's anger at the United States government during the Vietnam era.

    Here is a clip.
