One has to worry how the Democratic party and presidential candidates lost sight of their goal. The Las Vegas debate was no debate. It was a free-for-all, designed to damage each of the candidates on that stage, and the moderators were complicit. From the first bell, Elizabeth Warren spewed insults and broadsides befitting the enemy . . . but not at Donald Trump, rather at Mike Bloomberg. Not only did she begin her shocking assault in vulgar terms, but she also made it clear she would not let up, and that was the tenor of the night. No wonder Bloomberg was shell-shocked; I was.
Democrats: We have lived with Donald Trump for over three years now. He has a special skill: damaging this country in serious and perhaps permanent ways. How could you forget that? Unfortunately, what happened in Las Vegas Tuesday night, did not “stay in Las Vegas.” The world saw this event and began to shudder anew; I did.

This afternoon, at a Tom Thumb station in Arlington, Texas, I paid $2.099 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline. With my Tom Thumb card, it came to $1.999. What're y'all payin' in your neck o' the woods?

Re: “U.S. appeals court upholds Trump ban on family-planning funding” [Feb. 25, A4]:
I was honored to be U.S. Sen. Patty Murray’s guest at the State of the Union address to show President Donald Trump we will never stop fighting for health-care access. As a Title X patient, I find it vitally important to advocate for people to have access to health care like I had because it has positively impacted my life.
President Trump’s gag rule made it so Planned Parenthood was forced to withdraw from the Title X program because it would not comply with an unethical gag rule on providers that would have detrimental impacts on patients. Washington took a strong stance against the administration when local leaders announced they would cover these losses, but we are still fighting for a long-term solution to cover care for people with low incomes.
Republicans can try to ignore my story, and the stories of more than 90,000 Washingtonians who rely on Title X, but Sen. Murray won’t. She fights for each of us and ensures we have access to affordable reproductive care. The State of the Union, and the continual attacks made by this administration, make it clear to me we must keep fighting for the health and rights of all people.

A so-called reporter named @JohnJHarwood, who bombed so badly in the 2016 Presidential Debates that I thought he was going to be immediately fired (a Mini Mike type performance), is now with Fake News @CNN. A total loser!
