Is this really happening? The president attempts to subvert justice in the sentencing of his crony Roger Stone, then states that he will consider a pardon if things don’t go his way. The intelligence community is unanimous in its assessment that Russia is acting to get President Donald Trump re-elected. The president responds by firing the director of national intelligence and replacing him with a yes-man with no intelligence experience.
Since the impeachment acquittal, Mr. Trump has sought revenge on anyone who spoke the truth about the Ukraine affair. Now there is a report that a Trump surrogate offered Julian Assange of WikiLeaks a pardon if he would state that Russia had nothing to do with the hacking of Democrats’ emails.
An eighth grade bully is in charge of the government. What is more disturbing is that half the country and a majority of senators appear to feel that this is just fine. We are in deep, deep trouble.

….during a debate). Pocahontas was mean, & undisciplined, mostly aiming at Crazy Bernie and Mini Mike. They don’t know how to handle her, but I know she is a “chocker”. Steyer was a disaster who, along with Mini, are setting records in $’s per vote. Just give me an opponent!

Donald Trump's approval rating is 52%. Barack Obama's approval rating at the same point of his presidency (25 February 2012) was 47%.

To the editor:
I lived under socialism in the 1950s and escaped from it during the bloody Hungarian Revolution in 1956. Socialism in that form stinks.
After the Nevada caucuses, Sen. Bernie Sanders is looking more like the inevitable Democratic Party presidential nominee, but he has no chance against President Trump if his message is perceived as “socialism.”
Words matter. Perceptions matter.
If the self-described democratic socialist secures the nomination, he should do everything he can to distance himself from the concept of “socialism” as opposed to “democratic socialism.” Sanders’ plan of increased spending on healthcare, infrastructure and education (supported by practically all European governments) is not the same as Soviet-style (or Venezuelan or Cuban) socialism.
Unless Sanders can make this clear enough for at least 51% of voting Americans, we will have another four years of Trump.
