The media should stop publishing President Trump’s tweets as if they represent the administration’s policies. While the frequency of these tweets fits the media’s news cycle needs, the president’s administration should be held by us to daily briefings by a press secretary and press conferences with the president. Clearly it is on us to demand this from the administration.

Note from KBJ: If Barack Obama were still president, Mark Siegal would be demanding that Obama's tweets be published.

At the beginning of this month, President Trump stated that his administration did not seek regime change in Iran. Now, according to “Trump support for protesters could backfire” (Page A4, Jan. 15), the president is personally exhorting the Iranian people to rise up and be heard as their protests against Iran’s shooting down of a Ukrainian passenger jet have intensified.
Funny, but that sounds like an attempt by Trump to foment unrest in order to create regime change in Iran. Here are two words that certainly can’t be used to describe Trump’s foreign policy objectives: consistent or coherent.

Note from KBJ: Good job conflating exhortation and coercion, moron.

The farmers are really happy with the new China Trade Deal and the soon to be signed deal with Mexico and Canada, but I hope the thing they will most remember is the fact that I was able to take massive incoming Tariff money and use it to help them get through the tough times!
