  • I feel so bad for my Republican officeholders. Three years ago, they held their collective noses and helped elect an arrogant, narcissistic bully. Today, as we approach the next presidential election (maybe the most important in our nation’s history), they are faced with an agonizing dilemma.

As they now know, if you retain a gram of personal integrity, your worst fears and suspicions have been realized. President Donald Trump is so much worse than they imagined. In three years, he has proven himself to be a cheater, a liar, a reneger (ask the Kurds) and a fraud. He has alienated our allies, empowered our enemies and made the U.S. the class clown of the entire world. Congratulations.

Alas now what? Do the Republican politicians admit they made a mistake? Will they own up to hyper-partisanship and myopic self-interest? Or will they act like real Americans and put the welfare of the country ahead of their repulsive obeisance to “party”?

When the time comes, will they remember the oaths of office they took and vote to indict and remove this embarrassment from office?

Posterity and their place in history awaits their decision. I am not optimistic.

  • Many of the people in DACA, no longer very young, are far from “angels.” Some are very tough, hardened criminals. President Obama said he had no legal right to sign order, but would anyway. If Supreme Court remedies with overturn, a deal will be made with Dems for them to stay!

  • To the editor:

Paul Rosenzweig, a lawyer who worked with the independent counsel during President Bill Clinton’s impeachment, correctly draws a distinction between the crime and the cover-up, but he doesn’t go far enough.

Clinton’s crime consisted of lying under oath about his affair. He did not try to abuse his authority or subvert democratic institutions. Trump, on the other hand, has done all of that repeatedly.

For starters, shortly before the 2016 election, he paid off an adult film star with whom he allegedly had an affair. That right there is grounds for impeachment. He publicly invited Russia to hack Hillary Clinton’s e-mails, attempted to fire Robert S. Mueller III, and suggested the whistle-blower in the Ukraine affair should be charged with treason. The list goes on.

Clinton was a model president compared to Trump

Note from KBJ: Clinton committed a crime, Alex. Donald Trump has not. Is that too subtle for your peabrain to grasp?

  • So with one Rally by me at the end of the campaign, I lift the poll numbers of Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin by 19 points, he just misses, every other Republican in the Commonwealth wins big, and the Fake News blames me for a bad night! OK! By the way, Mississippi won everything!
