  • During America’s infancy, Europeans wondered how long our nation’s democratic experiment would last. At this watershed time in the history of our democracy, Republicans play a major role in our fate. We applaud the few brave Republicans who have stood up to President Donald Trump. Both parties know he is corrupt and undeserving of our highest office.

Our Congress has a much higher power to answer to than the bully who presides in the White House. Republicans need to collectively unite against him. Trump is eroding the best of what our democracy has created. In fact, in three short years, it seems we are becoming like czarist Russia, with a leader who thinks he is above the law. If Trump is impeached, the Republicans will still lead this country, so they have nothing to lose—only their integrity.

We must stand up to tyranny that now is on our shore!

    — Nancy Dowdy, Berryville, Virginia

Note from KBJ: Stop the melodrama, Nancy. Donald Trump is the best president of your lifetime, and you know it. Why are you so filled with hate?

  • The Democrats are going to lose a lot of House Seats because of their Fraudulent use of Impeachment. Schiff fabricated phone call, a crime. Democrat Senate Seats will also be put at risk, even some that were supposedly safe. Look at Louisiana last night, North Carolina last week!

  • In their unconditional support for President Trump, Republican lawmakers are disregarding perhaps their most important constitutional responsibility: to check the executive branch. Evidence released to the public so far should at least be troubling them that this president is out of bounds.

If he did break the law, and then got a total pass, the damage Trump could do is scary, not to mention the precedent it sets for future presidents who may feel unencumbered by Congress. Why else would Republicans do this except to hold on to their own power at the expense of our precious, and apparently vulnerable, democracy?

If Trump is guilty and gets no penalty, he becomes empowered. If he then goes rogue on us, the fact that lawmakers were not doing their jobs, and for their own political sake, is something history will not forgive. In saving themselves, they put us all at risk.

Note from KBJ: Guilty of what, Jim? Being an effective president? Donald Trump is already (after three years in office) the greatest president in my lifetime, and one of the greatest of all time. That's what pisses you off, isn't it?

  • So funny to watch Steve Kerr grovel and pander when asked a simple question about China. He chocked, and looks weak and pathetic. Don’t want him at the White House!
