Stephen R. Tarbell is absolutely right that Donald Trump has been constantly scrutinized and criticized since he started running for president (“After all the abuse he’s weathered, you can’t call Trump thin-skinned,” Letters, Sept. 3). But that’s because Trump has been saying and doing awful, appalling things, including telling one easily demonstrable lie after another, since long before he started running for president.
