  • Regarding “Pelosi time” (Editorial, May 23): Your editorial on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was right on. President Trump is pushing the Democrats to impeach him as he knows it will benefit him. What the Democrats need to do is keep hammering away. It will drive him crazier than he is. He is getting more unhinged every day and constant hammering is the best method of dealing with him. If the Democrats want to show muscle, then send the bailiffs to arrest Attorney General William Barr and some of the no-shows. It will be a sensation and make a point.

  • To the editor:

Currently we are wringing our hands over the very real picture of a lawless, chaotic, out-of-control president holding a club over a spineless Senate while a Democratic House works tirelessly to right this badly tilting ship of state. (“McGahn defies subpoena to testify and faces contempt of Congress vote,” May 21)

This is what happens when the American public takes its eyes off the ball. Democracy can never be taken for granted.

There are opportunistic sources that are always on the lookout to destroy a democracy that works for all its people. Let us all learn from this. We need to work our hearts out to right this ship before it sinks and never let our eyes off the ball again.

  • I was extremely calm yesterday with my meeting with Pelosi and Schumer, knowing that they would say I was raging, which they always do, along with their partner, the Fake News Media. Well, so many stories about the meeting use the Rage narrative anyway – Fake & Corrupt Press!
