The story in the New York Times concerning North Korea developing missile bases is inaccurate. We fully know about the sites being discussed, nothing new – and nothing happening out of the normal. Just more Fake News. I will be the first to let you know if things go bad!

In point of fact, I am the very opposite of an anthropomorphiser. I don’t hold animals superior or even equal to humans. The whole case for behaving decently to animals rests on the fact that we are the superior species. We are the species uniquely capable of imagination, rationality and moral choice—and that is precisely why we are under the obligation to recognise and respect the rights of animals.(Brigid Brophy, The Rights of Animals [London: The Animal Defence & Anti-Vivisection Society, 1965], 8 [first published on 10 October 1965 in the Sunday Times])

Here is an insightful and balanced column about CNN and its relation to President Donald Trump. I long ago discerned that CNN had made a corporate decision to "go after" Trump. Hour after hour, day after day, week after week, the network attacks Trump, calling him a liar, a racist, a xenophobe, a misogynist, a white supremacist, a fascist, a bigot, and so on. It's disgraceful. CNN is not a news organization (if it ever was); it's a propaganda operation, no different in principle from Pravda. The people at CNN are vile. How can they sleep at night, knowing that they are doing the bidding of their corporate masters by trying to destroy a popularly elected president and his family? Is this why they went to journalism school?

Considering all the machinations that we’ve experienced since 2016, I’m actually thanking President Donald Trump.
His reputation, his fakery, and most of all his enormous lies have led to an avalanche of women successfully seeking and winning governmental positions.
Their victories will hopefully facilitate an opportunity toward returning the United States Congress into a truly representative voice for all of the people.
The male bastion of power is narrowing, evolving into the true meaning of a free society honoring the “rights” of all individuals, all creeds and all persuasions.
It is without question that this president has a history of calumny, misogyny and ultimatums showing a propensity for choosing subservient individuals to do his bidding rather than seek highly regarded professionals for positions of great power. He literally plays games with people’s lives. The latest example is the Jeff Sessions disaster, showing loyalty is a one-way street with this unprincipled uncaring president.
The president attacks all forms of the media with his self-pitying refrains, he uses former President Barack Obama as a ploy and he denigrates fellow Americans with impunity.
Unless checked, this chaotic administration could continue on a path towards a plutocracy or dictatorship. Mr. Trump demonstrates this with his pretentious declarations, facetious remarks and manner of seeking subservient lackeys to do his bidding.
Fearmongering has replaced transparency and truthfulness in the Oval Office. We now have reason to ask, who does this really president serve?

Note from KBJ: He serves the American people, Marty—even those who didn't vote for him. We're going to elect him again in two years. Suck it up.
