  • Donald Trump's approval rating is 44%. Barack Obama's approval rating at the same point of his presidency (5 September 2010) was 42%.

  • So now Donald Trump is canceling pay raises for federal employees, citing budget constraints (Aug. 31, “President Cancels Pay Raise Owed to Federal Employees”). Yet he is arrogant enough to use taxpayers’ money for his weekly vacations, using Air Force One to transport him and his entourage to resorts and golf courses that he just happens to own. Rooms, meals and expenses for all the Secret Service people, flight crews, etc., are paid using our money, and all of it going into Mr. Trump’s pockets.

If that is not illegal, it is certainly unethical, and the American people should be outraged as he continues to thumb his nose at us, and yet has the audacity to use juvenile name-calling and lying when he is challenged by anyone.

Wake up, Congress. Get him out before our beloved country is irretrievably ruined.

I had a great ride today: 45.7 miles. No rain; gorgeous clouds. Click to enlarge. I listened to the Brett Kavanaugh hearing on the C-SPAN app.

  • Isn’t it a shame that someone can write an article or book, totally make up stories and form a picture of a person that is literally the exact opposite of the fact, and get away with it without retribution or cost. Don’t know why Washington politicians don’t change libel laws?
