  • First lady Melania Trump planned to spend up to a week in the hospital resting after undergoing an embolization procedure, which is usually an outpatient procedure.

Meanwhile, individuals who have lost health insurance coverage due to the numerous attempts by her husband, President Donald Trump, to disembowel the Affordable Care Act can’t even afford the procedure itself.

  • “Trump should be happy that the FBI was SPYING on his campaign” No, James Clapper, I am not happy. Spying on a campaign would be illegal, and a scandal to boot!

  • In the May 13 letter, "Nobel Peace Prize—Obama vs. Trump," Dennis G. Ortega asks what former President Barack Obama did to deserve the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. According to Wikipedia, "The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to United States President Barack Obama for his 'extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.'" Ortega claims President Donald Trump is more deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize than Obama.

Personally, I rather doubt the high-minded Norwegian committee will award the Nobel Prize for Peace to Trump, who has spent much of his life perpetuating financial, physical and mental violence against others. Further, Alfred Nobel charged the committee to award the Prize to the person who in the preceding year, "shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses." Trump does not qualify as a man of peace.
