To the editor:
Surely it is evident that President Trump, who tweeted Tuesday that his nuclear “button” is bigger and more effective than North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s, must be separated from our nuclear weapons. (“Trump says his ‘Nuclear Button’ is bigger and more powerful than North Korea’s, and ‘my Button works!’” Jan. 2)
Trump is not fit to hold the office of president. Trump is behaving like a child, and we cannot let a child destroy this country.
Congress must do something, and sooner rather than later, to ensure that the president does not act on a whim. Seemingly each day he does or says something outrageous to take our thoughts away from his precarious position.
The tweet against Kim is just too much. Trump’s nuclear button must be taken away.

With all of the failed “experts” weighing in, does anybody really believe that talks and dialogue would be going on between North and South Korea right now if I wasn’t firm, strong and willing to commit our total “might” against the North. Fools, but talks are a good thing!

Propositional form X is the contrary of propositional form Y (i.e., X and Y are contraries [of one another]) iff (1) it is impossible for both X and Y to be true and (2) it is possible for both X and Y to be false.
Example from everyday life: ‘Only Muslims go to heaven’ is the contrary of ‘Only Christians go to heaven’ (from Peter Singer)
Example from categorical logic: ‘All S are P’ is the contrary of ‘No S are P’ (iff at least one S exists)
Example from propositional logic: ‘p • q’ is the contrary of ‘p • ~q’
Example from predicate logic: ‘(x)Øx’ is the contrary of ‘(x)~Øx’ (iff at least one object exists)

Having endured a year of this "alternate facts" new reality, I pondered how somebody like President Trump could have become a cult leader. Researching, I came across the power of charisma.
Throughout history, there have been charismatic leaders. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Adolf Hitler, John F, Kennedy, Barack Obama and Donald Trump are a few examples. Until now we did not have science-based evidence of how charisma works on the minds of people who fall under the spell of their leader. Current studies using advanced fMRI scans show that the follower's brains suppressed reasoning and skepticism when hearing their leaders voice. This suppressed reasoning was called the "awestruck effect"
Scans on non-believers brains did not have loss of rational thought and were immune to the "awestruck effect." So far, the only protection is to teach people how charisma works so they can recognize whether it's being wielded responsibly or abused. Make America great again: Bring back fact-based reality.
