Why is academia dominated by progressives? Logically, there are three (nonexclusive) possibilities. The first is that academia causes progressivism. The second is that progressives are drawn to academia. The third is that some third factor causes both. I think the second explanation is best. Academia is attractive to people who either aren't good at producing wealth or aren't interested in accumulating wealth. What you end up with are academics who despise the wealthy and, out of envy, try to destroy them.
