Here is a scene from today's stage of the Tour of California. Spanish cyclist Francisco Mancebo broke away early on the 107-mile stage, was caught by two others, left them behind on a climb, was caught by two others late, and outsprinted them to win. I was rooting for him to hold on, for he deserved the victory. Lance Armstrong did yeoman's work for his teammate Levi Leipheimer to limit the damage. Weather conditions were atrocious. I shivered just watching the poor riders in the cold rain.
Addendum: Swedish cyclist Emilia Fahlin won the women's criterium. What's not to like about this sport?
