Paul Postal has told me more than once that I suffer from Yankee Derangement Syndrome. I deny it. Follow my reasoning. If I suffered from Yankee Derangement Syndrome, then I would have nothing good to say about the Yankees; but I do have good things to say about the Yankees; therefore, I do not suffer from Yankee Derangement Syndrome. What are those good things, you ask? First, I love the fact that the Yankees don't change uniforms. (Compare this with this.) The Yankees are conservative. My adoptive team, the Texas Rangers, has changed its uniform color again (from blue to red). The aim, I suspect, is to make money by getting fans to buy new jerseys. Second, I love the fact that the Yankees aren't allowed (by management) to have facial hair. They always look neat and clean. (How was Jason Giambi allowed to wear a mustache? Is there an exception for mustaches?) Third, I love the fact that the Yankees expect to win.
