I decided to see what the moonbats at Democratic Underground were saying about the pirate killings. It's worse than I thought, folks. Many of the posters on that site believe that conservatives wanted Captain Phillips to die. I was aghast to read this. I'm a conservative, and I didn't want Captain Phillips to die. I wanted him to live. I wanted the pirates to die. Do you know any conservatives who wanted Captain Phillips to die? Here's the logic, apparently: Conservatives want President Obama to fail; it would have been a failure for President Obama had Captain Phillips died; therefore, conservatives wanted Captain Phillips to die.
Are progressives projecting? Did they so want President Bush to fail that they wanted literally anything that would have that result, including the deaths of innocent people? I got the feeling sometimes during the past five years that progressives wanted the United States to be defeated in Iraq, for that would have been a monumental failure for President Bush.
