Doug Glanville's latest column is about the allegation that Alex Rodriguez (a.k.a. Choke-Fraud) exchanged tips with opposing players. It is said that Rodriguez did this only in blowouts. But Pete Rose wagered in favor of his team, never against it, and he was thrown out of baseball. Exchanging tips, like wagering, destroys the integrity of the game. Note also that Rodriguez was putting his interests ahead of those of his pitcher, who was trying to keep his earned-run average down. This is betrayal, plain and simple. Rodriguez knows nothing of loyalty. He is all about himself. I hope he is banished from baseball. The game cannot afford him and will not miss him.
