Law professor Jonathan Turley is—or was until yesterday—the darling of progressives. He appears regularly on MSNBC spouting progressive dogma, whether the topic is national security, affirmative action, the Second Amendment, property rights, abortion, or some other issue. But now the moonbats are turning on him, for he had the audacity to differ, publicly, from President Obama. Turley wants a high-powered intellectual (preferably an academic) to fill David Souter's Supreme Court seat, and he doesn't think Judge Sonia Sotomayor has the goods. Read this. Don't you love it? One must not differ from President Obama! Perhaps this incident will remind Turley that he is an academic first and an ideologue second. If you want to be the darling of progressives, you must stop thinking for yourself and go along with them. Not just sometimes, but always. And if you deviate, ever so slightly, from progressive orthodoxy, you will be attacked with all the venom that progressives reserve for conservatives.
