Go here and click on "Game Log" to see Kevin Millwood's 15 starts this year. The man should be 11-1 rather than 7-5. First, note that the Rangers have been "in" every game he has pitched. That is the mark of a top-flight pitcher. Second, Millwood has pitched seven or more innings in 12 of his 15 starts and 5 2/3 or more in all 15 starts. That shows durability. Third, Millwood has pitched in seven one-run games. His record in these games is 3-4. In the first loss, he gave up three earned runs in seven innings. In the second loss, he gave up four earned runs in eight innings. In the third loss, he gave up two earned runs in six innings. In the fourth loss, he gave up two earned runs in seven innings. The Rangers just don't hit when he pitches. It's disgraceful.

Millwood is the best pitcher in Major League Baseball. If he doesn't start the All-Star game, something is wrong.

Addendum: Millwood's earned-run average in his four June starts is 0.94. The man is unhittable! Zack Greinke's earned-run average in his three June starts is 5.68, and he has lost his past four starts. Case closed.
