On 30 June 2008, this blog had a total of 1,405,732 visits. On 29 June 2009, it had a total of 1,648,785 visits. In 364 days, therefore, there were 243,053 visits, which is an average of 667.7 visits per day. Would I like more? Yes, of course. But I'm happy with my readership. Probably more people read my blog in a given day than have read any of my published books or articles.
Addendum: During June, this blog had 16,219 visits, which is an average of 540.6 visits per day. Readership is lower during the summer months than during the fall or spring semesters, probably because people are out and about rather than sitting at their computers.
