Alaska governor Sarah Palin has announced her resignation. Some people think she is getting out of politics. What a laugh. Sarah Palin is going to be our next president. She can't make an effective run for president from the far northwest. She needs to relieve herself of governing responsibilities. She needs to travel, give speeches, raise money, write books and policy papers, and, most importantly, meet people. Isn't it obvious that she has presidential aspirations? This woman is tenacious. That is what many of us love about her. She is tired of being attacked by effete journalists and wants to fight back. She can't do this while running a state, especially a state so far removed from the centers of national power and opinion. Remember this: The degree to which Sarah Palin is attacked, whether from inside or outside her party, is the degree to which she is feared. Republicans who attack her know that she is more popular among the party's base than any other candidate. By running her down, they are trying to improve the presidential prospects of their own preferred candidate(s).
Go Sarah!
