Without addressing the substance of her column, let me say that I respect Kirsten Powers's principled approach. She is as opposed to sexism toward conservative women (such as Sarah Palin) as she is to sexism toward progressive women (such as Hillary Clinton). Many progressives have a double standard: They are sexist (and racist) toward conservatives but not toward progressives.
