Van Jones has resigned as "green czar." Among other things, he signed a letter to the effect that President Bush knew about the attacks of 9-11 before they occurred (in an attempt to drum up support for an invasion of Iraq). Jones, a graduate of Yale Law School, admits to signing the letter, but denies knowing what he signed. To make it even more hilarious, Howard Dean defends Jones:
Howard Dean, the former head of the Democratic [sic] party, defended Mr. Jones on Sunday, saying he was being penalized for not realizing what the petition was.
"This guy's a Yale-educated lawyer," Mr. Dean said on "Fox News Sunday." He's a best-selling author about his specialty. I think he was brought down, and I think it's too bad. Washington's a tough place that way, and I think it's a loss for the country.
"Look, all of us campaigning for office have had people throw clipboards in front of our face and ask us to sign. And he learned the hard way you ought not to do that. But I don't think he really thinks the government had anything to do with causing 9-11."
Have you ever signed something without knowing what it was? How plausible is it that Jones did this?
Addendum: Just think of all the radicals who would be serving in the Obama administration if it weren't for Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, and other conservatives. Why are mainstream news organizations such as the New York Times not investigating these people? Isn't it the function of journalists to monitor government officials? Oh, wait. Journalism is dead. Those who used to be called journalists are in the bag for Obama. They have no interest in investigating Obama's people. Indeed, they have an interest in not investigating Obama's people, for investigation interferes with Obama's revolutionary plan. Yes, revolutionary. A revolution is a turning upside down. How else to describe what is being done to this country? Americans are starting to understand what is happening, and they are furious. They are going to throw Democrats out of Congress in 2010 and Obama out of the White House in 2012, just as they threw Jimmy Carter out on his ear in 1980. Then again, if Republicans put up someone as awful as John McCain, Obama could be reelected.
Addendum 2: How long will it be before the criticism of Jones is called racism? I mean, he's black, right? Doesn't criticism of a black person have to be racism? What else could it be?
