A student from a few years ago asked me to write him a letter of recommendation, which I did. In his letter to me, he wrote:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for doing me this tremendous favor, and I apologize again for the incontinence.
Had he not mentioned it, I wouldn't have known.
